We offer three different specialist packing options including pad wrapping, export wrapping and crating. Pad wrap
Pad wrapping gives you that extra peace of mind when moving home or transporting a treasured item. It is an invaluable part of packing that protects your item from damage, scuffs and marks. By concealing the item completely it also gives you more privacy, protecting it from prying eyes.
Pad wrapping is suitable for very delicate, very expensive items, such as antiques, that require a little more stability than a standard packing services. Objects are covered in purpose-built padded blankets, strapped and labelled. Once wrapped we do not need to unwrap and the item is always protected. Pad-wrapped items are expertly packed so that they can also stay in storage.
Export wrap
The clue is in the name. Export wrapping is vital for protecting items during international moves while in containers or when storing items in an out-building for a while. With this specialist packing service, items are wrapped in cloth and bubble wrapped so that they are completely air-tight. Moisture cannot get in and the cloth stops any sweating, ensuring the item is protected from damp and mould.
We can export wrap anything from a small ornament or a picture to a big bed frame. We’ll even do this packing for a damaged item while being transported to be refurbished to avoid further damage. Export wrapping ensures items get to their destination in one piece.
Crating
Crating is specialist packing used on very heavy and unusually shaped, expensive and fragile objects. Large ornaments and statues can be incredibly heavy and a standard box simply won’t be strong enough to take the weight. A wooden crate provides the necessary stability and protection.
Some more valuable, delicate, and unique items also require this kind of attention. By padding out the crate with foam pallets we can protect the item throughout the move. We use specialist crates with handles, lifting straps and trolleys to ensure the item can be safely and easily moved from A to B.
