Efficient, effective packing is quite an art form, and it’s something not many of us have a lot of experience with. You may have packed clothes into a suitcase, but when was the last time you packed a sofa, or a stack of crockery?
Luckily, you don’t have to develop professional packing skills in time for your move. Instead, why not let Spire Removals step in and do it all for you? Spire offers both traditional and specialist packing, so let’s take a look at what each involves, and why it’ll make all the difference to your move.
Traditional packing services: packing done your way
There’s no right or wrong when it comes to Spire’s classic pack – that’s why there’s three services available within it, so you can choose what’s best for you.
Basic pack – if you want to do it yourself
We’ll give you our top quality boxes, in a range of sizes and thicknesses to suit your belongings and your budget, and leave you to do the rest. Then we’ll expertly load everything into our vans and transport it safely to your new home.
Fragile pack – if you’re nervous about smashed plates
You’ll sort the bigger things, but Spire will take over when it comes to breakable bits, like crockery, cutlery, glassware, lamps, ornaments and vases. That way, you can relax knowing that your fragile items are professionally packed in a way that means they won’t be damaged en route.
Full pack – so you don’t have to worry about a thing
This is the ultimate stress-busting service. Spire’s packing experts will arrive and take charge, packing everything you own, from clothes to computers and TVs to tables. Everything will be professionally protected ready for its journey to your new home.
Specialist packing services: for your peace of mind
This is for items that need a little extra care and know-how to be packed safely, or for lengthy journeys where your things need that bit more protection. Whether it’s a grand piano, a piece of artwork or even a classic car, Spire’s the answer when it comes to moving your treasured items from A to B, and here are some of the ways the team do it:
Pad wrapping – protecting delicates from damage
Items that require more care and stability, like antiques, can be wrapped in specialist padded blankets, then strapped up until they reach their destination. As well as shielding these things from physical harm, it also adds extra security and privacy by ensuring they cannot be seen.
Export wrapping – for international moves
This sort of wrapping keeps things of any size safe when being stored long-term or while being transported across borders. Items are wrapped in special cloth and bubble wrapped to be completely air tight. Because no moisture can get in, your things remain free from damp and mould.
Crating – for large and strangely-shaped pieces
Very large, heavy or unusually-shaped items can’t simply be popped in a box. Instead a wooden crate is required to provide the stability and protection needed to keep them safe in transit. Crates can be padded with foam pallets for extra protection and Spire uses handles, lifting straps and trolleys to safely manoeuvre crates during packing and moving.
